The Occupation Paradox

This article sums up the Occupation Paradox better than I ever could. I'd be interested in hearing and replying to comments.

ugh, the news is so frustrating. on the one hand, if someone falsified an identity card or overstayed their stay in any other country, they'd get deported, the end. on the other hand, making her sign a letter saying she'll never return while she's IN LABOR with quads?? she was under duress! how is that a binding legal document? anyway, considering that they both want to live in the west bank, not in, say, haifa, i don't see why it's an issue to let him in temporarily provided that he leaves. i don't think israel is EVIL, i think the worst part of the occupation is the fact that it sucks up time, energy, and money and turns our government and army into a bloated bureaucratic machine that's more concerned with this kind of triviality than the welfare of its citizens.
